My Background.
Since 2017, my extensive construction and business experience has been put to effective and successful use as a legal expert witness and consultant to attorneys and clients in helping to resolve or win legal disputes.
I review all available information to assess each case, help present realistic probable outcomes, and then work on detailed analyses, presentations and strategies for achieving a fair outcome to the dispute. I bring the same unique abilities I’ve developed working on an expansive range of projects over my 40 years in construction management to my expert witness and consulting work.
This includes a unique ability to clearly explain and present complex construction industry standards, concepts and analyses to my clients.

My Approach
I’ve always had an intense drive to understand the fascinating world around us, and within ourselves. I was especially enamored with the expansive growth of science and technology, watching the development of the space program, and later advances in computer, medical and semiconductor technologies that continue to reshape the world. Along with interests in philosophy and psychology, this led to my interdisciplinary educational studies, and integration of these in my career path, first as a computer system programmer, later in construction management, and now as a construction expert witness and consultant.
I have been exposed to an expansive range of businesses, industries and processes, including advanced technologies such as semiconductor and biopharmaceutical, historic restoration, institutional projects, commercial and large wood framed residential.
My educational science background, interests, analytical abilities, willingness to question what is accepted, and ability to see things from unique perspectives are integral to my success.

My Philosophy
I continually strive to grow and understand more about many different things. Seeing many especially complex issues from innovative and unique perspectives allows me to identify and understand essential elements of an issue or problem, and present those in an easily comprehensible way that cuts through obscurity.
By applying those abilities as an expert witness and in construction management, my goal is to significantly contribute to the expeditious completion and positive resolution of issues and projects.
My successes and reputation are readily supported by the very well-respected clients and attorneys I have been fortunate to work with over the years.
My Enjoyments
Being outside in nature is very grounding and restorative, and often provides me with new perspectives and insight, which is why I enjoy time walking anywhere along the coast and beaches here in RI, and trails at the local wildlife refuges.
Time on the water either kayaking or sailing is very relaxing, as well as a good workout at the gym.
I often love to take a break in the afternoons at my favorite coastal coffee shop, sitting on the deck looking out over a cove to read for a while, or listen to music there on the weekends.
Based in southern Rhode Island, but available to testify and consult on construction procedures and methods in-person or virtually.
